German anti-euro party wins seats in first western state

Germany's anti-euro AfD party won its first seats in a western state Sunday, in elections in the city-state of Hamburg, according to projections by public broadcasters.
The populist Alternative for Germany scored around 5.5 percent, according to ZDF television, having over the past year won seats in three states in the formerly communist east Germany.
"We are very happy about this result because it is the fourth time we enter a state parliament," said the AfD's leader Bernd Lucke, a former economics professor at Hamburg University.
