Germany exported more than 1.5 billion liters of beer worldwide in 2014, according to the statistics released by German Federal Statistical Office on Tuesday.
About ten percent of the total beer exports went to China. With a total of 152 million liters export volume, China exceeded America and became Germany's fourth most beer export destination country after Italy, France and Holland, local newspaper Munich Merkur reported.
The volume of German beer import, nearly 670 million liters, was 50 percent less than the export volume. Among the imported beer, 277 million liters, meaning over 41 percent, came from Denmark, according to the report.
