Ireland's residential property prices remained up 9.4 percent on an annual basis, according to latest figures on Wednesday.

The figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) showed residential property prices rose by 0.9 percent nationwide in July.

In Dublin, residential property prices rose by 0.7 percent in July. Dublin residential property prices were 9 percent higher than in July 2014.

Dublin house prices rose by 0.6 percent in July whilst Dublin apartment prices increased by 2.7 percent.

Outside of Dublin, residential property prices rose by 1.2 percent in July. Prices were up 9.6 percent compared with July 2014.

At a national level, residential property prices were 36.9 percent lower than their peak level in 2007.

Dublin house prices were 36.3 percent lower than their peak, Dublin apartment prices were 40.6 percent lower than their peak and Dublin residential property prices overall were 37.9 percent lower than their highest level.

Outside of Dublin, residential property prices were 39.8 percent lower than their highest level in 2007.
