The Italian-Egyptian Business Council has adopted Cairo's plans to achieve economic reform and increase investment opportunities.
The chairman of the Italian side of the council, Marcello Sala, said building an integrated railway network is a top priority, as well as reopening the maritime corridor between Egypt and Italy.
Sala said that Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab's upcoming visit to Italy is a big chance to post the Italian businesspeople on the latest developments in Egypt.
Khaled Abu Bakr, the chairman of the Egyptian side of the council, said the Egyptian delegation will shed light on measures taken to achieve economic reform and attract investments.
Mahlab is also set to chair an industrial-economic summit to be organized by the council in Milan on Thursday.
