Italian Ambassador to Egypt Maurizio Massari said his country is keen on rendering the economic mission in Egypt successful.
It's important not only for boosting bilateral ties but also for promoting a strategic partnership with Egypt, Massari told MENA on Monday.
He said the mission was announced in November during President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Rome.
The envoy said Italy is Egypt's largest trade partner in the EU and the third after the US and China.
He hailed the investment climate in Egypt, economic reforms and major projects underway in the country, such as the New Suez Canal.
