
Italy's Bertazzoni group decided to pump 55 million euros in new investments to produce a factory for manufacturing cookers in Egypt.
During his meeting with Board Chairman of Bertazzoni group Paolo Bertazzoni, Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil said that the factory will represent a significant addition to the home appliance industry.
The company's decision comes in line with the ministry's strategy to enhance the national industry, he added.
The new factory will start production in August 2017 and will provide about 1,000 jobs, he said.
It will also allocate 50 % of its production to export to all nearby markets, he further said
