Finance ministers of South Korea and Japan will hold a meeting this week to discuss the latest global economic conditions and bilateral financial cooperation, Yonhap News Agency cited South Korea's Finance Ministry as saying Tuesday.
The meeting will be held between Finance Minister Choi Kyung-hwan and his Japanese counterpart, Taro Aso, on Friday in Washington on the sidelines of the annual gathering of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, according to the ministry.
The meeting marks the first in two years. The last time that the finance ministers of the two neighbors met was in November 2012.
The two are expected to discuss latest domestic and global economic conditions and also exchange their ideas on intensifying bilateral financial cooperation, the ministry said.
