
Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority Head Ahmed Darwish signed a cooperation agreement with Japanese Toyota Tsusho Corporation to promote investments in the area.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the authority said that the agreement stipulates that the Japanese company should carry out a comprehensive study on all lands of the Suez Canal's economic zone to establish a station for generating energy for investment projects.
Darwish underlined that the agreement proves that this region is promising and attractive to the international and local investments.
Egypt welcomes working with the Japanese company which puts into consideration the accurate details to render the project successful, he underscored.
Darwish highlighted the deep Egyptian-Japanese relations as well as the joint cooperation.
For his part, the manager of the infrastructure projects in the Japanese company expressed his confidence in the Egyptian economy.
