The Vocational Training Corporation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore have signed a joint statement that provides for the completion of the Singaporean center in Jordan with the final delivery of necessary equipment.
The center, which is a regional center for vocational training in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration, was established under a memorandum of understanding signed between the governments of Jordan and Singapore in 2006.
Director General of the Corporation Majed Habashneh said the center includes four training units, with a technical contribution from the Singaporean government in the form of training equipment and materials worth $1.34 million.
Since its establishment, the center has trained 209 people from countries in Asia and the Middle East in addition to Jordan.
