The government said Sunday it will inject 21 billion won (US$19.4 million) in the next five years to support research and development (R&D) that can allow local shipyards to enter the global luxury mega yacht market.
The plan calls for 1 billion won to be used this year to select a think tank that can undertake studies on the construction of such boats, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said.
