Visiting Austrian President Heinz Fischer met his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev Thursday to discuss ways to boost bilateral ties and economic cooperation. Atambayev hailed the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Austria, which have seen strengthened trade and economic ties and active political dialogues in recent years. Atambayev exchanged views with Fischer on the prospects of bilateral cooperation, saying that Fischer\'s visit will give impetus to cooperation between the two nations. Fischer, for his part, said that Austria is interested in trade and economic cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. Several bilateral agreements were signed after their meeting.
