Malaysia will continue to support and provide humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, said an official here late Tuesday.
During a ceremony on this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said "We will continue to do whatever we can for the sake of our brothers and sisters in Gaza." "This is our commitment. I appreciate the contributions by the Umno Welfare Bureau particularly volunteers and doctors who came forward to help," he added in statements picked up by the Malaysian News Agency (BERNAMA).
Muhyiddin said Malaysia condemned and vehemently oppose every form of violence by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza, which had claimed so many lives.
The Malaysian team comprising 71 volunteers who brought with them 40 tons of food and medicine would return to Malaysia on August 21st.
