
Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman discussed on Tuesday with US Ambassador R. Stephen Beecroft means to cement economic cooperation between the two countries.
They discussed the outcome of meetings the minister held recently with US officials and members of the US chamber of commerce to push forward the development wheel in the country.
The minister pointed out to the improvement of foreign direct investments which hit 1.8 billion dollars in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
Minister Salman invited the US ambassador and a large number of US businessmen to attend the economic conference which will be held Sharm el-Sheikh in March.
For his part, the ambassador expressed his country's interest in promoting economic relations with Egypt.
