
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Afghanistan agreed on Wednesday to go ahead with implementing national unity government's initiatives in all political and economic fields, the OIC said in a statement.
This came during the meeting held between Secretary General of the (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah in Kabul.
During the three-day visit, Madani discussed with the Afghan officials a number of political and economic issues in Afghanistan and the region.
Also, Madani asserted that the OIC is fully prepare to cooperate with the Afghan unity government in all areas.
For his part, the Afghan president pointed to the role assumed by the OIC in Afghanistan, asserting the necessity of activating partnerships between the two sides within the coming phase.
