
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met Monday with French Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron with the attendance of his Palestinian counterpart Abeer Odeh.
In press statements following the meeting, Odeh said that Abbas expressed his appreciation to the French support offered in various fields, adding that the visit of Macron is very important.
She further underlined that the industrial city in Bethlehem, which the French government participated in its establishment, was inaugurated on Monday.
Odeh reiterated that a Palestinian-French ministerial meeting will be held in Paris on September 9 and 10 to resume discussions.
For his part, Macron said that important talks were held with Abbas concerning the French stance towards the latest regional developments and the importance of supporting the political process.
France suggested in June the resumption of the Middle Eats peace process, Macron noted, adding that Abbas will meet the French President on September 22.
