
The Government of Poland Tuesday approved its Defence Ministry's proposal to order Patriot missiles.
President Bronislaw Komorowski said Poland will negotiate with the United States to complete the US $5 Billion missile defence tender.
US firm Raytheon manufactures Patriot air defence missiles system.
The Defences Ministry said US proposal is more profitable from the viewpoint of Poland's security and implementation of commitments within NATO framework.
The defence ministry also said it selected Airbus Helicopters EC-725 Caracal multi-purpose helicopters for further tests. It is not considering offers from US Sikorsky and AgustaWestland.
