HE Foreign Minister’s Assistant for International Cooperation Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani conferred Tuesday with a delegation from International Organization for Migration (IOM), including IOM’s Chief of Mission in Nepal Maurizio Busatti, and IOM’s Chief of Mission in Kuwait Iman Erekat.
The meeting discussed ways of cooperation and coordination in support of some of the IOM’s projects in Nepal, particularly with regard to repatriated migrant workers to Nepal, as they face many challenges and difficulties related to the resumption of a decent life after their return to the country of origin.
The visit of the IOM delegation was in the framework of the attention given by the State of Qatar to alleviate the difficulties and challenges facing migrant workers, and laborers going back to their home country.
