Russian billionaire businessman David Yakobashvili, the founder of Russia’s leading producer of juices and dairy products OAO WimmBillDunn, has confirmed in an interview with ITAR-TASS that he is preparing to file a lawsuit with a London court against The Financial Times.
The suit will be filed in connection with an article, which the newspaper published July 14. Yakobashvili believes that the sense of his statements has been distorted.
The article claimed, among other things, that Yakobashvili had criticized the Russian authorities’ “crackdown on offshore corporate structures” and had revealed his plans “to invest more in his native Georgia”.
