S. Korea\'s industrial parts exports hit record high in 2011

South Korea\'s exports of industrial parts and materials reached a record high last year on growing demand from developing countries in Southeast Asia, the government said Wednesday. The country\'s shipments of industrial parts and materials rose 11.8 percent on-year to US$256.2 billion in 2011, while imports grew at a slower pace of 11.5 percent to $168.6 billion, according to the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
