
The Board Chairman and Director-General of KUNA Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah Thursday met with Tilman Rascher, the head of Deutsche Welle DW-AKADEMIE's Middle East division, discussing the ways of boosting mutual cooperation.
The meeting focused on benefiting from experiences of DW in training journalists to help them follow the latest developments in all media.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij stressed the necessity of providing all technical and press possibilities to increase the efficiency of KUNA's employees to help them keep up to speed with global events in addition to enhancing the bulletins of KUNA to cope with rapid developments in all media.
He pointed out that it is important to cooperate with German media institutions in order to exchange expertise and boost channels of dialogue.
For his part, Rascher stressed readiness of DW to develop cooperation with KUNA, and organize training sessions for Kuwaiti journalists and exchange expertise.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij arrived here two days ago to hold talks with MITC, the largest establishment for training journalists in the Middle East and North Africa.
