
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri met on Saturday with Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference.
The two sides discussed means of promoting relations between the two countries in various fields, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Badr Abdel Aati.
The meeting took up means of boosting joint economic cooperation in light of preparations carried out for the Sharm el Sheikh economic conference to be held in March.
The get-together tackled also a number of regional and international files as well as issues of common interest such as the conditions in Libya and the importance of supporting national dialogue in the Arab country.
They also probed the Syrian crisis and efforts exerted to combat terrorism.
The African issues of common interest were also tackled.
