Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Sunday the importance of Chinese President Xi Jinping's anticipated visit to Egypt.
The visit provides a good opportunity to reach deals with China to establish development projects in Egypt, Sisi said during a meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and a raft of ministers.
Sisi ordered overcoming any obstacles facing Chinese investors, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
The meeting also dealt with projects to be implemented by China in Egypt in the fields of transportation, housing, electricity, agriculture and high education.
They also reviewed the possibility of Egypt's participation in an initiative offered by the Chinese president to revive the Silk Road.
