The Minister of Industry Engineer Al-Somaih Al-Siddiq discussed, in a meeting at office Wednesday, with the Turkish Ambassador in Khartoum Cemalettin Ayd?n bilateral relations between Sudan and Turkey in all fields particularly in the economic and industrial domain and ways to consolidate them further.
Engineer Al-Siddiq affirmed his ministry readiness to extend every effort for the success of Turkish industrial investments in Sudan, welcoming Turkish investors and companies to Sudan.
He explained to the ambassador Sudan potentials in the field of sugar, textile, edible oil and leather, pointing out that the Sudan's African neighbours represent a market for the Sudanese industrial products, calling on the Turkish companies to invest in these industries
The meeting touched on the minister's 4-day visit to the State of Turkey on Thursday, during which he will meet his Turkish counterpart and the Commercial and Industrial Chamber. The minister is to be accompanied by a delegation includes GIAD and Kenana Sugar Companies.
The Turkish ambassador, meanwhile, stressed depth of the economic and industrial relations between Sudan and Turkey and the efforts being exert to develop them further for the interests of the two sister countries.
Ayd?n revealed completion of all arrangements for the success of the visit of the Minister of Industry to Turkey. The meeting tackled the Turkish investments in Sudan, specially in the field of textile and other industries along the endeavour to solve all the barriers facing them to attract more Turkish investments to the industrial sector.
