Syria will take part in the leading international exhibition for food and beverage products in Russia (World Food Moscow)
due to be held on September 15-18.
Seven Syrian companies specialized in various food industries will be participating in the exhibition.
Promotion Department Manager at the Exports Development and Promotion Agency Saleh al-Rifa’i told SANA that Syria’s participation comes within the framework of implementing a plan for exports promotion for 2014.
The agency, he added, works on introducing the Syria products for exporting, opening new markets for them and enhancing their competitiveness in
the international markets, particularly in Russia.
Among the main Syrian food products which will be showcased in the exhibition are canned food, yogurt, canned olives, cereals, legumes, oils,
cooking fat, biscuits, chocolate and dates.
