The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Indonesia hit 1.4 billion dollars in 2014, Head of the Egyptian-Indonesian Business Council Mohamed Baraka said on Tuesday.
Indonesian exports to Egypt recorded 1.340 billion dollars in the same year, he added.
Egypt, meanwhile, exported commodities to Indonesia worth 145 million dollars, Baraka said.
He also stressed the importance of promoting Egyptian products in the Indonesian market, which is open for all products from all over the world.
Baraka urged the Egyptian government to issue the executive regulation of the new investment law as soon as possible to attract more investments into Egypt.
