
The Indian Ambassador in Cairo Sanjay Bhattacharyya announced that the volume of trade between the his country and Egypt reached five billion dollars annually.
There are 50 Indian companies in Egypt with total investments of three billion dollars, he said.
These remarks came during a meeting held between Manpower and Migration Minister Nahed Ashry and Bhattacharyya upon his demand.
The Indian diplomat highlighted his country's keenness on increasing joint cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields.
He expressed appreciation of the Indian government to the role played by the Manpower Ministry in promoting bilateral ties.
For her part, Ashry underscored the importance of preparing a legal framework for cooperation with India especially in the domain of labor.
