
The UAE and Angola have signed economic and technical cooperation agreement and a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) pertaining to establishing a joint cooperation committee between the UAE and Angola.
The signing of the agreement and MoU came in line with the desire to enhance friendship ties, develop economic and technical cooperation and bolster bilateral relations between the two sides.
Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, signed the agreement on behalf of the UAE while Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti, Minister for External Relations of the Republic of Angola, signed it from the Angolan side.
The agreement aims to develop economic and technical cooperation in accordance with the legislation in force in the two countries.
The MoU, regarding establishment of a joint committee between the UAE and Angola, aims to establish basic principles of cooperation and coordination programme between the two sides in all areas of joint interest.
The agreement and MoU were signed on Sunday, June 14th, 2015, at the Emirates Palace Hotel
