Ukraine's industrial production dropped in September for the seventh consecutive month due to the ongoing unrest in the eastern regions -- the country's industrial hub, authorities said Friday.
According to the data published by the State Statistics Service, the country's industrial output in September was down 16.6 percent year-on-year, which is slightly better than 21.4-percent drop recorded in August.
In September, industrial production in the Lugansk region dipped 85 percent, while in the Donetsk region the output was down 59.5 percent from a year earlier.
Ukraine's mining, chemical and processing industries suffered the biggest drop.
In 2013, Ukraine's industrial output fell 4.7 percent.
