A UN agency said Sunday it allocated USD 1.1 million to be distributed this week for around 800 Palestinian families.
The aid will be distributed in cash to help families rebuild their houses destroyed by the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) said in a statement.
It affirmed that it was committed to helping Palestinian families and that housing aid were a priority, but UNRWA noted that more funding was needed.
Saudi Arabia provided USD 13.5 million on February 3 after UNRWA stopped its aid distribution last month for lack of funding.
