
United Nations Executive Director of the Economic committee for Africa Carlos Lopez is due to visit Sudan Saturday, the Sudan News Agency reported on Friday.
Lopez will arrive in Khartoum in a three-day visit on February 7.
It is considered the first visit by a high level delegation from the UN committee to Sudan, which represents positive indication for country, especially in the economic fields, director of the export department of the Ministry of Trade Abdul Aziz Abutaleb said.
The visit will tackle issues such as enhancing the capacity of the state's institutions and promoting the country's potentials at the social and economic levels, Abutaleb added.
Lopez is scheduled to meet with Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir during his visit.
