Shanghai Xian Dai Architectural Design (Group) opens new branch in Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi recently, as it eyes wide range expansion in Middle East. “We are attracted by the boundless potential of the local market,” said Honghua Yan, the chairman of Shanghai Xian Dai Architectural Design (Group). “As a first step into the Middle East market Abu Dhabi branch will act as a channel through which we further explore the opportunity of collaboration with the clients and local architectural design companies,” he added. “Xian Dai Group is a state-owned company with a history of architectural design for decades. This year, we are going to celebrate the 60 anniversary of our group,” Yan added. Based in Shanghai China, Shanghai Xian Dai Architectural Design Group (Xian Dai) has been one of the largest and most influential architectural and engineering design firms in China since its origin in 1952. Gao Yusheng, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in the UAE and Honghua Yan, chairman of Shanghai Xian Dai Architectural Design (Group) jointly revealed the brand board at a function at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. Since this beginning, Xian Dai has grown and developed into a group company with more than 20 professional subsidiary companies providing a full spectrum of services. Xian Dai has been ranked by the US magazine Engineering News Record as one of “The Top 150 Global Design Firms” and “The Top 60 Engineering Design Firms in China” for many years.
