
Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals Shawqi al-Mikhlafi discussed on Thursday with the Korean ambassador to Sana’a Lee Young-ho economic and investment cooperation aspects in the field of oil, gas and minerals.
During the meeting, Shawqi affirmed the importance of encouraging Korean companies to invest in Yemen in the domain of oil, gas and minerals, in addition to the possibility to train Yemeni cadres in Korea.
For his part, the Korean ambassador emphasized the importance of promoting economic cooperation aspects, specially that the commercial exchange between the two countries is boosting since Korea is one of the main countries Yemen exports liquefied natural gas to.
