
Public shareholding company Aamal today replaces medical services company Medicare Group in Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index, the bourse said.
Aamal enters the benchmark QE Index with a weight of 2.76%.
As per index rules, QNB, whose weight exceeds 15% in QE Index as of market close March 31 has its weight capped at the 15% level and excess weight allocated to remaining stocks proportionately, the bourse said.
QSE removed National Leasing Company from the QE Al Rayan Islamic Index, which brings down the number of companies to 17 in this index.
All 43 QSE-listed stocks with velocities greater than 1% during the 12-month period under review remain in QE All Share Index and related sector index calculation as of April 1, 2015, the bourse said.
