Main index of Amman Stock Exchange dropped 5.9 points during past week\'s operations and the daily trade fell 26.6 percent, according to weekly figures of the bourse, publicized on Friday. Benchmark for the week closing fell 1,923.4 points, compared with 1,929.3 points of the previous week; a decline of 0.31 percent. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector increased 0.33 percent and the industries dropped 1.97 percent, and that of the services fell 0.27 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD 9.3 million, compared with USD 12.7 million the week before; with a decline proportion of 26.6 percent. Overall volume of trade of the week stood at some USD 46.7 million, in contrast to USD 63.8 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 41.7 million, done through 18,185 deals. As to sectors\' contributions in volume of trade, the financial sector came first, 49.1 percent of the overall trade, followed by the industries, 36.8 percent, and lastly the services, 14.1 percent. Comparing prices of closing of the trading companies, amounting to 174, with the previous closing, stock price of 68 ones rose and those of 71 others dropped.
