CBE fixes US dollar price to banks at 7.73 pounds

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) stabilized the sale price of the US dollar at 7.73 pounds during an auction on Thursday.
The CBE offered 40 million dollars in the periodic auction to banks for an exchange rate of 7.73 pounds, a statement issued by the CBE said.
The exchange rate of the US dollar in banks stood at 7.78 pounds for buying and 7.83 pounds for selling.
The CBE offers 40 million dollars in three periodic tenders a week on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday to meet banks' needs of the foreign currency.
