
The US dollar was changing hands in the lower 109 yen zone in Tokyo on Tuesday morning, marginally higher than levels seen overnight in New York.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 109.38-43 yen compared with 109.19-29 yen in New York and 109.54-55 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1212-1216 dollars and 122.65-66 yen against 1.1215-1225 dollars and 122.53-63 yen in New York and 1.1221-1222 dollars and 122.92-96 yen late on Monday afternoon in Tokyo.
