The U.S. dollar traded at the mid-79 yen range early Tuesday morning in Tokyo. At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 79.60-61 yen compared with 79.45-46 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday. The New York market was closed Monday for a national holiday. The euro fetched 1.2706-2708 dollar and 101.15-17 yen against and 1.2709-2710 dollar and 100.97-101.01 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon.
