
The U.S. dollar changed hands at the upper 113 yen level early Tuesday morning in Tokyo, after topping 114 yen overnight for the first time since December 2007 in New York.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 113.68-69 yen compared with 113.99-114.09 yen in New York at 5 p.m. Monday.
The euro fetched 1.2492-2492 dollars and 142.01-03 yen against 1.2477-2487 dollars and 142.30-40 yen in New York late Monday afternoon.
The Tokyo market was closed for a public holiday Monday.
