
The U.S. dollar traded in the mid- 123 yen range early Friday morning in Tokyo following a drop to a three-week low overnight on a plunge in U.S. stocks.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 123.45-46 yen compared with 123.37-47 yen in New York and 124.03-05 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The euro fetched 1.1234-1235 dollars and 138.68-75 yen against 1.1239-1249 dollars and 138.67-77 yen in New York and 1.1122-1123 dollars and 137.95-99 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
