
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) lost 4 billion pounds of its market capital at the end of this week's trading.
The EGX 30 benchmark index dropped 1.75 percent to close at 8,731 points, the EGX's weekly report said on Thursday.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) declined 0.7 percent to 491 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index also went down 1.9 percent to close at 989 points.
