
Europe's main stock markets weakened at the start of trade on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.29 percent at 7,016.86 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 index shed 0.63 percent to 11,821.21 points and the CAC 40 in Paris slid 0.27 percent to 5,040.86 compared with Monday's close.
Europe's major indices were mixed on Monday as Greece's premier arrived in Berlin for more talks aimed at resolving the country's debt crisis, but London hit a record peak before pulling lower.
