Grain futures prices were mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Tuesday as the dollar index was flat, rising 0.01 percent on the International Exchange. Corn was off 1 to off 3, soybeans were up 9 to up 10 1/2, wheat was up 2 3/4 to up 4 1/4 and oats were off 5 1/2 to unchanged. Corn prices slipped with traders anticipating increased planting expectations for the 2013 growing season. Wheat traders were taking profits in advance of Thursday\'s U.S. Department of Agriculture Prospective Plantings and Quarterly Grain Stocks Reports. Soybean futures found support from short covering in anticipation of stock figures that are expected to be bullish. The prices: Corn: May 7.30 1/4 off 3, Jly 7.12 1/4 off 3, Sep 6.03 3/4 off 1 1/4, Dec 5.71 off 1. Soybeans: May 14.47 3/4 up 10 1/2, Jly 14.26 1/2 up 9, Aug 13.82 1/4 up 9 3/4, Sep 13.12 up 9 1/4. Wheat: May 7.31 1/2 up 4 1/4, Jly 7.32 1/4 up 3 1/4, Sep 7.38 3/4 up 3 1/4, Dec. 7.50 1/4 up 2 3/4. Oats: May 3.99 3/4 off 1 1/4, Jly 3.94 3/4 off 5 1/2, Sep 3.73 3/4 unchanged, Dec 3.65 3/4 off 1 3/4.
