Prices were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade with the dollar moving lower and reports of rain delaying planting in key South American crop regions. Corn was up 4 3/4 to up 5 1/2, soybeans were up 5 to up 6 3/4, wheat was off 1 1/4 to up 6 and oats were up 1 to up 3. Corn prices regained Monday\'s modest losses with signs of a revival in demand -- Egypt placed an order of 180,000 metric tons from South American sources. Wheat futures were mixed with Tunisia announcing a tender for 100,000 metric tons of milling wheat. Soybeans closed higher with trading light as Hurricane Sandy forced the financial district to close for the second consecutive day. The prices: Corn: Dec 7.41 3/4 up 4 3/4, Mar 7.44 1/2 up 5 1/2, May 7.41 1/2 up 5 1/2, Jly 7.34 1/4 up 5 1/4. Soybeans: Nov 15.33 3/4 up 6 1/2, Jan 15.36 1/2 up 6 3/4, Mar 15.10 3/4 up 5, May 14.65 3/4 up 5 1/2. Wheat: Dec 8.56 3/4 off 1 1/4, Mar 8.71 3/4 off 1, May 8.79 off 3/4, Jly 8.68 1/4 up 6. Oats: 3.88 3/4 up 1, Mar 3.96 3/4 up 2 3/4, May 3.97 3/4 up 3, Jly 3.97 1/4 up 3.
