Hong Kong shares climbed 0.97 percent on Wednesday as bargain hunting from two days of losses offset concerns about a brewing financial crisis in Cyprus. The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 214.58 points to 22,256.44 on turnover of HK$76.23 billion ($9.82 billion). Chinese shares rallied 2.66 percent thanks to bargain-hunting. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 59.94 points to 2,317.37 on turnover of 114.0 billion yuan ($18.4 billion).
