Lao stock market closes 0.13% higher

The Lao stock market finished 0.13 percent against the previous trading day.

The Lao Securities Exchange composite index increased by 1.33 points to 994.18. A total of 60,900 shares worth about 288 billion Lao kip (about 36,000 U.S. dollars) changed hands at the stock market.

There are five companies listed at the Lao stock market. Souvanny Home Center Public Company (SVN) unchanged at 3,100 Lao kip (about 38 U.S. cents). Petroleum Trading Lao Public Company (PTL) also had no trade. Lao World Public Company (LWPC) had no trade. Laos' largest commercial bank Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) rose by 2.22 percent to 4,600 Lao kip (about 57 U.S. cents). Shares of state-run energy giant Electricite du Laos Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen) unchanged at 4,900 Lao kip (about 61 U.S. cents).
