The Qatar Exchange was down on Thursday 40.74 points or 0.48% to 8,452.38 points from the previous closing of 8,493.12. The volume of shares traded down to 5,248,881 from 7,424,236 on Wednesday, and the value of shares fell to QR183,379,483.42 from QR 217,600,493.43 Wednesday. Among the top losers were Qatar National Bank whose share dropped by 1.00% to QR8139.00, Barwa lost 1.57% to QR31.25, Qatar Islamic Bank fell 0.88% to QR79.10 and Electricity & Water 1.83% to QR139.80. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector dropped 55.55 points while the Insurance sector fell 86.43 points. The Qatar industrial sector down 0.13 points and the Services sector lost 40.54 points.
