The Qatar Exchange was down on Tuesday 72.08 points or 0.85% to 8,424.79 points from the previous closing of 8,496.87. The volume of shares traded up to 5,514,684 from 4,031,381 on Monday, and the value of shares increased to QR213, 844,019.70 from QR190, 578,083.42 Monday. Among the top losers were Masre Al Rayan whose share dropped by 2.17% to QR23.85, Islamic Insurance lost 1.94% to QR55.70, General Insurance fell 4.22% to QR43.10 and Al Kaleej Takaful 1.80% to QR46.40. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector lost 124.55 points while the Insurance sector fell 51.86 points. The Qatar industrial sector down 29.99 points and the Services sector dropped 50.08 points.
