
Qatar Exchange index lost 43.08 points (-0.35%) to finish the first day of week at 12,333.54 points compared to 12,376.62 points registered on Thursday.
The total traded value reached QR 361,222,394.79 from 4,431 transactions with a volume of 6,801,230 shares.
From the 43 listed companies, 19 made gains today, 17 went down and six remained unchanged.
Qatari individual investors traded shares of 41 companies while buying a volume of 3,515,956 shares for a value of QR 168,230,451.46 or 46.57%.
Qatari individual investors traded shares of 40 companies while selling a volume of 3,998.025 shares for a value of QR 203,817,095.52 or 56.42%.
Qatari institutions traded shares of 32 companies while buying a volume of 1,288,813 shares for a value of QR 86,490,924.76 or 23.94%.
Qatari institutions traded shares of 25 companies while selling a volume of 946,005 shares for a value of 58,377,271.34 or 16.16%.
Banking and financial companies' traded a volume of 1,589,827 shares today for a value of QR 102,962,083.99 from 1,105 transactions.
Four banks noted gains today. Qatar Islamic Bank (+0.30, QR9.30), Commercial Bank of Qatar (+0.40, QR 65.40), International Islamic Bank (+0.40, QR 82.80) and Al khaliji Commercial Bank (+0.39, QR 22.10).
Qatar National Bank was among the losers, dropping -2.30% to close at QR173.90 from Thursday afternoon's closing at QR 178. Doha Bank and Al Ahli Bank remained unchanged.
In the industrial sector, National Cement Company topped gainers today, up a strong +4.60% to QR 138.80 from Thursday's 132.70.
