
Qatar Exchange index lost 111.14 points (- 0.88%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday at 12,496.46 points.
Trading value during this week decreased by 33.13% to reach QR 2,664,960,975.81 compared to QR 3,985,072,221.79. Trading volume decreased by 52.53% to reach 63,307,878 shares, as against 133,374,019 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 28.76%, to reach 28,704 transactions as compared to 40,292 transactions.
Market capitalization fell by 0.61% to reach QR 677,593,266,662.58 as compared to QR 681,775,373,622.87 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 29.88% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 24.39%. Real Estate sector accounted for 15.26% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 11.75%.
Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 23.62% of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 20.20%. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 20.11% and Industries sector accounted for 15.41%.
Industries sector led traded number of transactions this week with 25.52% of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 23.81%. Real Estate sector accounted for 18.87% and Telecoms sector accounted for 13.22%.
From the 43 listed companies 17 ended this week higher, while 24 fell and 2 unchanged.
Gulf International Services led traded value during this week accounted for 9.99 percent of the total traded value. Vodafone Qatar accounted for 8.35% and Barwa Real Estate accounted for 7.25%.
