
Qatar Exchange index gained 117.69 points (+0.97%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 12,282.17 points.
Trading value during this week decreased by 8.01% to reach QR 2,226,891,411.39 compared to QR 2,420,786,960.99.
Trading volume decreased by 7.20% to reach 51,675,523 shares, as against 55,686,513 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 0.68%, to reach 28,421 transactions as compared to 28,228 transactions.
Market capitalization rose by 1.03% to reach QR 660,511,669,980.11 as compared to QR 653,762,389,488.70 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value during this week with 33.28% of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 24.68%. Industries sector accounted for 19.42% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 10.62%.
Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 31.09% of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 23.50%. Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 18.11% and Industries sector 10.70%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 31.99% of the total number of transactions. Real Estate sector accounted for 19.61%. Industries sector accounted for 18.34% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 15.65%.
From 43 listed companies 32 ended this week higher, while 10 fell and one unchanged.
Barwa Real Estate led traded value during this week accounted for 16.4% of the total traded value. Gulf International Services accounted for 8.82% and Islamic Group accounted for 8.29%.
